PRAISE X-TRA 2016

THE LIBERATION VOICE

PRAISE EXTRA 2016

Have you noticed something? Especially in the Gospel divide of the Nigerian Music Industry, *many songs that eventually make it to hit songs, anthems or praise & worship status usually have unknown authors.*...

If you doubt me, okay who are the original composer of "Jehovah, You are The Most High"....?
"Na so so wonder Jesus dey do"....?
" Somebody sai Baba"...? "Carry Me Dey Go"...?
"Satan don fall for gutter, march am march am"...?

๐Ÿ˜you sabi who compose them? ๐Ÿ˜Š
These songs are actually classics and if it was in advanced climes, the copyright owners would be well celebrated.

Well... I just recently learnt that we might not bother our heads on the actual composers, but just be grateful to God for passing through them to release these awesome songs.

I'm just a messenger o... I never go court before unless na basketball court i never even swear affidavit sef... So, make them no sue me for *aiding piracy with passion ooo!*... ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Back to business oooo!
PRAISE EXTRA 2016 is an awe-inspiring worship concert powered by THE LIBERATION VOICE that will herald popular songs... But in a different dimension, as God will lead.

See Rev. Prof. E. M. Uka: LEARN HUMILITY

Comrade Asuquo Bassey

SUNDAY SPECIAL EPISODE
02/Oct/2016
THEME: LEARN HUMILITY
By: Asuquo Bassey

I think it’s safe to admit here that, I need a little more of humility. For "Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life. Proverbs 22:4.

Our society today places so much value on external display of accomplishments, flamboyant appearance, and self-aggrandizement. These, our youths have come to imbibe and I fear for our end.

James admonishes thus: "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." James 4:10. Thus, our being lifted up (in our academics, career, ministry... name it) to heights inexplicable is hinged on us BECOMING HUMBLE.

Today in Church, I learnt from the act of humility displayed by the immediate past Prelate of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria and Moderator of the General Assembly of the Churchis, His Eminence, Most Rev. Prof. E. M Uka (A person of equal status as a Pope of the Catholic church) & his dear wife as they knelt for prayers with his neatly ironed white dress before the congregation of worshippers in the PCN, Esin Ufot Efut Parish, Mayne Avenue Calabar, in front of the minister incharge the Rev. Theophilus Bassey whom he taught and
mentored!
Rev. Prof. Emele Mba Uka and Wife Demonstrating HUMILITY
Did he consider his status? Did it cross his mind his level of spiritual attainment, Rank and position? What was he thinking as he kneeled. Did he think he should be the one standing tall to make pronouncement over the life of the worshippers? These questions bugged me. But there he Knelt. I stopped asking myself further questions but heed to the scripture according to Micah 6:8 that speared my heart. It says "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

Humility will make us believe in God more than we believe in ourselves. Humility will make us see others as more worthy than we are. Humility will make us willing to admit when we need help and open to taking instructions from others who know better than us. Humility will give us the courage to set aside personal gain and glory for the good of others and to the glory of God.

My prayer is: Father Lord our God, grant me and all who'll read this writings humility, which is the fruit of your spirit that we may obtain grace for all good things. Amen.

Scholarly Article: The Nigeria I Envision

THE NIGERIA I ENVISION
Comrade Asuquo Bassey, a Presbyterian youth with a difference and an Author of many Inspirational Books

*A piece to commemorate Nigeria's Independence Day*
Written By: Asuquo Bassey
.
Nigeria my Nigeria. I see you great and powerful like the horses in our symbol, the Coat of Arms. Like the eagle on it, the strength of your economy & security soaring strong and unbeatable.
.
Nigeria I envisage your abundant natural resources viable and productive, your forests providing timber with
which to build, and rich soil in which crops flourish, capable of sustaining our large and ever growing population.
.
The Nigeria I envision is an industrialized nation, with lots of oil, natural gas, and coal discovered and refined in Nigeria. Where every sector will be functional and managed by nigerian renowned for their excellent work ethic and burning desire to carve out a good life for themselves and their children. People entrusted with roles and paid tasks not based on bias, sentiments nor tribalism but professionalism. Where there will be satisfactory job for all people of working age.
.
The Nigeria I envision is a nation where there'll be sufficient food for every household and fresh water for every home. Where there will be constant power supply and all basic amenities for the wellbeing of her citizenry are provided at affordable cost for all. A Nigeria where every corner is grandeur in the scenery from mountain majesty to pounding waves. Where every eligible citizen will have the opportunity of electing a truly godly leader, a leader who will protect the independence, the freedom our national forefathers sacrificed to insure.
.
Above all, I evisage a Nigeria whose God is the Lord. For "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD..." Psalm 33:12. The Nigeria I envision is a place we will all be proud to call our own and happy to hail "God bless Nigeria". This is the Nigeria i envision.
